High gloss Parapan® was recently specified by designers Paradigm Design Ltd for a two room ‘Clean and Dirty’ decontamination area in this Dental Practice with 7 treatment rooms in Cardiff. The suite has been designed to comply with all the latest government regulations in dental surgery decontamination by creating two separate centralised rooms to deal with the instrument cleaning and rotation from the surgeries. Approximately 16 bespoke specialist cabinets including sink units, dispensing cabinets, wall cupboards and storage solutions were designed and Parapan® was used not only for the frontage but also for many of the carcasses.
‘We frequently specify Parapan® in surgery and contamination room fit outs’, says Nick Tasker, Decontamination Services Manager of Paradigm Design Ltd. ‘The use of Parapan® is an obvious choice for us. It has stunning good looks, strength and is extremely practical for the testing environments we design for’,
‘The client chose Aubergine from the Parapan® palette of 23 UV stable colours. Usually we find dentists opt for muted tones or the more obvious clinical shades of white. However, this dramatic colour, sensitively set against the Cameo White, Corian work surfaces and the other more neutral tones, makes a stunning statement.’
Parapan® is ideally suited to the construction of the specialised dental cabinetry in Local Decontamination units because it is waterproof, easy to keep spotlessly clean, can resist chemical spillage and is able to withstand hot wet and steamy environments, making it extremely hygienic.
