Parapan perfect for sun-soaked kitchens

Glossy kitchen doors not only look stylish but can bounce light across the kitchen to create the impression of a larger and more spacious room. But too much exposure to direct sunlight can cause some glossy finishes to crack, peel or disintegrate.

Parapan sets the standard for high gloss in furniture because it is a solid 18mm thick acrylic all the way through, which means it is not laminated or coated in any way. Available in 19 colours, Parapan is also durable, moisture-resistant and UV-stable, so colours won’t fade or peel due to light damage.

Marnus Turrell of Charnwood Kitchens & Interiors says he often provides Parapan kitchens to properties overseas when customers request a high-gloss finish because of its unique qualities.

He explains: “We have exported a number of kitchens abroad and we often specify Parapan due to its durability and the fact that the finish is not affected by UV rays over time and it is not susceptible to high moisture environments.”

Charnwood Kitchens & Interiors have recently fitted a large luxury property in Gibraltar situated by the coast and chose Parapan in the kitchen for these reasons.

You can request a sample of Parapan, which is also available in 4mm thickness in all the colours for splashbacks, light pelmets, cornices or front panels for built-in appliances, online.
